Did you know a plastic soda bottle could be turned into a 60 watt light?
I sure didn't! Not until I watched this incredible video demonstrating citizens in the Philippines installing these bottles on homes built too close together to receive any natural light.
All that's needed is a plastic soda bottle, a bit of bleach and a bit of water. The plastic diffracts the light and the bleach helps to keep the water clean- for up to 5 years of light! Check out the inspiring video made by Isang Litrong Liwanag after the jump.
